Copyright Complaints

Submit a notice

Email legal@blinkhost.me with: claimant name and contact; authority to act; identification of each protected work; the exact hosted URL or precise location; the complained-of act and why it is unauthorised; a physical or electronic signature; a declaration on oath that the complaint is made in good faith, is accurate and that the claimant is entitled to act; and available supporting evidence. Do not include unrelated sensitive data.

An incomplete notice may be returned for clarification. Knowingly false notices can cause harm and liability.

Notice to the affected subscriber and proportionate action

Where a notice is sufficiently complete and action is justified, we will act expeditiously, preserve scoped evidence and promptly notify the affected subscriber unless law prohibits notice. Action may include disabling exact material rather than an entire account where sufficient. The notice may be forwarded to the subscriber with sensitive fields minimised.

Counter-notice and restoration

The subscriber may send a signed counter-notice identifying the material and original location, explaining the mistake, licence, exception or authority, providing contact details, and declaring in good faith that the information is accurate. We will forward a valid counter-notice to the complainant. Unless the complainant provides evidence of court or competent-authority proceedings, or law requires continued restriction, eligible material may be restored after the statutory seven-day period.

Repeat infringement and re-upload

We record substantiated notices and counter-notices. Repeated infringement may lead to warning, anti-reupload measures, feature restriction, suspension or termination, considering challenges and reversals. A user may challenge a repeat-infringer designation with objective evidence. We may use content identifiers or other proportionate controls to prevent the same adjudicated material being repeatedly re-uploaded.

Escalation

This process does not determine ownership. A party may seek relief from a competent Nigerian court or the Nigerian Copyright Commission. We comply with valid orders and preserve lawful appeals.

Source templates and channels

For a complaint about a BlinkHost source template, include the publisher name, channel name, template version and catalogue or project URL where available. Identify the specific files or material at issue and explain the rights claimed. BlinkHost may restrict the publisher, withdraw the affected version or channel, preserve necessary evidence and notify relevant parties while evaluating the complaint. Do not include repository credentials, unrelated source or unnecessary personal data.
